the date is june 6, 2009. time: about 9:00 PM. place: Nashville TN, Sommet Center

the black curtain floats down to cover the stage, the lights go out, and it's pitch black. the crowd waits in anticipation. all is quiet, 'Life in Technicolor' blasts from the massive black speakers, and with chris in the lead they all come running out with their bright gold sparklers. the crowd jumps up and screams at the top of their lungs. after the crowd settles, 'Violet Hill' comes on next, me in complete shock, looks over to my left at the woman beside me and notices she's singing to the brilliant music, along with many others. suddenly i am sucked up into my own little world, and i too begin singing and swaying to the music. three songs later, 'Yellow' blasts, and many massive, bright yellow balloons are thrown into the crowd. all that can get their hands on one bounce them back and forth to the millions of people. many float back to the stage, Chris and Guy begin popping them and lots of tiny confetti come floating out. next thing we know, the band is running through the side of the crowd, and running up the stairs to the balcony. the cameras then zoom up on them. the entire band is in the crowd performing right in front of a section! a small kid about ten years of age is right behind Chris as he sings, during the whole performance his jaw was dropped with his mouth hanging wide open, staring at the band in amazement. after 'Death Will Never Conquer', they then ask us all to get out our cell phones, and that on the count of three we were going to do the largest cell wave in history. in the middle of that, they begin singing 'I'm A Believer' (a Neil Diamond cover). a 'Viva La Vida' remix now comes on, and the band disappears. everyone is confused and is wondering whether or not if they will come back or not. about five minutes later, they finally return onto the stage. one song later, 'Lovers in Japan' comes on, and colorful butterly confetti blasts of the stage and floats into the crowd! everyone staring at the ceiling, we watch all the beautiful butterlies fly around. Next, is 'Death and All His Friends'. After that, Chris then tells us all about their new cd Left Right Left Right Left, and that it costs "zero dollars and zero cents!" and that the entire audience will get one free at the door. Chris, Jonny, Guy, and Will all take their bows, and wish us farwell, and leave the stage. The crowd screams for more, and atlast they return to the stage and tell us two more songs! sadly it ends, and everyone cheers for ages!



okay, so really this is just for me, to make sure i will always remember that wonderful day. that day was literally the best day of my life! that was the first concert that i went to and everybody got into it, even me! i really hope to see them again, i very much look up to all of them, especially the wonderous Christopher Martin BEST. DAY. EVER.
